About Jon
I'm currently working for Brown University and freelancing for various New England schools. I've recently spent several years working as the University Photographer for the University of Houston where I documented Houston's sports teams, students, professors, and various campus events. Prior to working at the university level, I freelanced for a variety of industries including real estate, weddings, portrait, and anything that required me to take a photo. I fell in love with travel photography and then found my true passion with sports photography.

About the lesson

We start with the student's background and where they are. Then we can go over the gear they have and how best to use it. We then discuss what sports they are able to cover and the best spots to work from. Additionally, we can go over photos and have constructive critique sessions on them. I like to go over what the student is doing well and help them work through what works and what doesn't. These lessons are for beginners who are just starting or for students who have been photographing for a while and want to improve their work.
