About Carlene
I completed my schooling in Ireland and then continued to complete two BSc degrees in South Africa at Stellenbosch University. My first BSc was in Human Life Sciences, focusing on human anatomy and physiology. I then continued onto a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. After completing my degree and my community service year working in a public hospital I’ve taken some time to tour the country. Throughout my studies I was a student mentor and tutored school and university students in math and biology for 5 years. I’ve loved working with students and allowing them space to learn at a pace and style that’s really suited to their individual learning!

My focus is on understanding and learning to learn. It’s super important to me that you as a student can learn anything even if you’re not working with me on a specific topic or subject. I like to take the time to ensure understanding so that more complex work can be built on the foundations of what we work through. It is also important to me that we find what works for you and build lessons on that.
I’m here to help you learn, so working at the students style and pace is the best part of private tutoring!
