About Maximilian
I’m a 22 year old Animation Student, I spend my days writing half finished stories and watching old cartoons. It was Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke that made me want to become an animator.
I take teaching seriously. In the sense that if you were in a helicopter ride you’d want to gawp and stare out of all the windows, but if your pilot was doing the same you’d be concerned.

My goal is to actually teach the artistic fundamentals. Concepts like colour theory and figure study that build portfolios and help artists develop their skill set.
I can advise on portfolio prep for university as someone who attends the number 2 university in the country for animation. I’ve also worked previously as a Graphic Designer for a local record label.
My specialisation is in 2D animation, using both screens and light boxes, since those who stray completely from the pencil have lost their way.
My approach is holistic and creative with a structured thread of core principles running throughout.
