My methodology varies depending on the needs of the student and his / her test, but I usually pass the format of the text that the test asks for, and then, together, we begin to work on essays and improve them as we do them. I also like to address current and historical issues that can be inserted in the essay and thus increase the student grade. I also find valid teaching some key points of grammar, such as the use of commas, conjunctions, among others.
