About Celeste
I am Latina but raised in South Carolina, so I am fluent in Spanish. I love reading, especially sci-fi and fantasy books (Tolkien has my heart). I love watching Star Trek in my free time, and the occasional Star Wars. I am going to major in physics/astrophysics in college. I also love Math so much and want to make other people love it too. I always feel like Math is a puzzle, and each equation is a way of figuring out what it all means. Once people realize how fun it is to discover new ways of solving problems, everything usually clicks, and tests become easier and more fun to study for. I may not have a college degree, but I believe I can truly help you or your child understand and enjoy math.

I am a high school student who earned a 98 in pre-calc and a 99 in both Algebra 2 and Geometry. I think being a student sets me apart because I can better communicate with your students and am familiar with taking the courses your students need help with. Typically, if a student is currently in a class, I will use worksheets that correlate with the curriculum and help go through problems and strengthen weak points. If a student wants new instruction, then I will use the curriculum I was taught to provide one-on-one instruction and help with problems. I think I offer unique insight as I struggled through these classes just a few years ago, and I know what helped me in classes like pre-calc go from a 92 to 98. My lessons are better for middle school to early high school students. I am SO excited for us to work together!!
