About George
I've always enjoyed challenging myself in maths and science, which is why I'm aiming to study Mathematics at Oxford. Alongside A Levels, I've been preparing for admissions tests such as the TMUA, helping me develop a deeper understanding of maths beyond the school syllabus.
Outside of lessons, I run my school's Science Society, where I organise events and give lectures on STEM topics, and I regularly help students at our Maths Solutions Club during lunchtimes. One thing I'm particularly proud of is improving my grades from B to A* in both Physics and Chemistry. Working through that process taught me revision techniques which teachers were never able to give me, which I translate into my lessons to help students achieve similar or greater progress.

Greek
Each lesson will be 1 hour and will be structured to tailor to the student’s needs. For example, for a student who is already quite confident, we will focus mainly on difficult application exam questions, and they can bring any questions they find difficult too, whereas if a student needs more improvement, we will first focus on breaking the topic down and gaining an intuitive grasp of it before tackling the more difficult questions.
I can set tailored homework questions for students to do according to ability. My aim is to push students into slightly unfamiliar territory with homework, as this is the only way to get comfortable with not knowing questions in a real exam.
I will also be regularly giving overall feedback to students on what improvement they need to achieve better grades.
