Hello, I am a creative and inspiring Teacher of Mathematics. I enjoy working as a class teacher and one-to-one as a tutor. I work hard to motivate students to achieve their very best and have helped numerous students through their GCSE. I have been on CPD courses tailored to the new GCSE curriculum, helping me teach the new content and approaches required for the new specifications.
I believe each student is different with different abilities to learn so I base my approach on adapting and catering to how the student is most effective in learning and the approach they find the best and most enjoyable.
My teaching method is able to have simplicity and having the whole class to understand what is going on. If there is still a student who does not know I will be patient and help them as I give the rest of the class questions.
I am 14 years old from Maidenhead, London. I am completing GCES at the moment, year 9. The way I teach is open book study, textbook assignments, little bit of homework, revision tests after a topic to see how much the student understands, making posters, analysis of a topic and general knowledge and recalling all topics done before for great understanding. Quizzes etc.
Firstly I will identify the student's weaknesses and work on tackling them. Then we will move onto making sure the knowledge of all topics is to a good enough standard. Regular testing is also an important aspect of my methods.
A student centred approach to learning where me and the one being taught have equal roles in learning.
How can understanding Coulomb's law of friction help you learn clutch control? (Mechanics) Does eating ice cream cause people to commit burglary? (Statistics) Where in a circle can you find next week's winning lottery number? (Geometry) Learning any new skill can be a challenge, and maths is no exception.

My teaching methodology depends types of learners: visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic. Each learning type responds best to a different method of teaching. Auditory learners will remember information best after reciting it back to the presenter, while kinesthetic learners will jump at the chance to participate in a hands-on activity.
I like to first build a strong foundation for my students and slowly introduce more difficult concepts as they become more confident.
I have past experice in tutoring students who have acheived good GCSE grades. I have done so by only focusing my tutoring on the topics students do not understand. I am quick to get to the point but do so by asking questions that allow students to think and try to get to an answer themselves.
