Public Health Doctor | Oxbridge Graduate | Over 10 years teaching experience | Specialist marker for Edexcel - Which subject(s) do you teach? 11+ 13+ Common Entrance Mathematics (KS2, KS3 & GCSE) English (KS2 and KS3) Sciences (KS2, KS3 and GCSEs) Economics (GCSE & A-level) Business Studies (GCSE & A-level) Accounting (GCSE & A-level) A-level Biology.
I am starting my International Baccalaureate programme with a focus on Sciences and Spanish. I will be tutoring in a range of subjects including core subjects as well as French, Spanish and Chinese up to GCSE level. During lessons I like to work interactively with students on what they find challenging or would like to learn, to help them become confident and achieve their best.
I believe each student is different with different abilities to learn so I base my approach on adapting and catering to how the student is most effective in learning and the approach they find the best and most enjoyable.
My teaching method is able to have simplicity and having the whole class to understand what is going on. If there is still a student who does not know I will be patient and help them as I give the rest of the class questions.
I am 14 years old from Maidenhead, London. I am completing GCES at the moment, year 9. The way I teach is open book study, textbook assignments, little bit of homework, revision tests after a topic to see how much the student understands, making posters, analysis of a topic and general knowledge and recalling all topics done before for great understanding. Quizzes etc.
I follow very smooth and minute entry into each topic. The topics in physics are completely explained when they are discussed through numerical examples which I believe strongly binds the theory of subject with thought processes of the minds of the learners.
Firstly I will identify the student's weaknesses and work on tackling them. Then we will move onto making sure the knowledge of all topics is to a good enough standard. Regular testing is also an important aspect of my methods.
My teaching method is to pay as little attention as possible to the subjects where students feel comfortable and spending more time on tricky topics. I also like to practice as many exam questions as possible to create confidence in the student for when they come to the real exam.
My teaching method is to find and highlight areas of weakness or concern and develop a deep and solid understanding that can be built upon. I have a natural ability to break down complex concepts and convey them in a simple way.
A student centred approach to learning where me and the one being taught have equal roles in learning.
