About Malik
I'm a 4 year graduate from Wilfrid Laurier, who will be starting teachers college next year. I have experience tutoring elementary and high school kids in all subjects, but my main subject is English. As a student I felt that school was not for me, but I've learned through different approaches the value of school and how it can be beneficial if applied in a real life sense. The most important thing to me is creating a calm, safe environment where everyone feels comfortable and is put in the best position to succeed.

My main focus is first and foremost connecting with the students. This includes understanding their learning styles, interests, and motivations in order to best plan a lesson around their needs. As a student the conventional teaching styles were a struggle for me, so I understand each student is capable of achieving their academic goals, it just takes the right approach!
