About Maddy
With 1 year's worth of training as a Teaching Assistant at Southeastern in the Department of Biology, I have a unique skillset for relaying information in a variety of ways to assist students who may be struggling in their courses. I have also tutored a variety of students in subjects such as Pre-Calculus, Algebra, Spanish I-IV, and General Biology. I am confident that with my skills and eagerness to help others, I will be a valuable asset to you all and students in need as a tutor. I have a B.S. in Biology and Spanish, and I am currently working to obtain my Master's degree in Biology.

I currently teach 2 introductory biology laboratory courses at Southeastern. It is a position I hold that requires me to design lesson plans, teach course material, hold office hours for assisting students, write and grade assessments, etc. As a tutor, my lessons are always designed with the goal aimed at having the student learn at their pace in an engaging way rather than strictly relaying information verbally in the same ways I engage college students to get hands-on with material.
