About Alex
I'm a Masters in English Literature student with nearly a decade's worth of experience in the writing and publishing world. Over the course of my career, I have taught students of all age groups, various nationalities, and different levels of language comprehension. I have vast experience preparing students for international language tests like the IELTS, and guiding students to write competitive essays for prestigious writing competitions like the Jane Austen Essay Competition, the Gould Prize Essay Competition, the Betty Haigh Shakespeare Prize Essay Competition, and the John Locke Essay Competition to name a few. Furthermore, I've conducted creative writing seminars for high school students, supporting their journey as young, aspiring writers. My students have gone on to win prizes and acclaim, and are now confident enough to step into the wider world of writing, publishing their work with enthusiasm.

With vast experience in teaching creative writing and essay prep, I hope to arm my students with the tools to craft their own unique stories. Whether you're a beginner, a novice writer, or an expert looking to incorporate new techniques and styles into their repertoire, I will aptly tailor my teaching methodology to suit individual needs and aspirations. Want to learn the basics of the language before diving into the hard stuff? You're in the right place! As a TEFL Certified Masters student, for me, teaching language is one of life's greatest joys. I can safely say, you're in very capable hands. My lessons will range from 30 minutes to an hour. Bite-sized and easily digestible. My lesson plans will revolve around your specific requirements and goals, and what you hope to improve. I'm also open to feedback. My approach to teaching is versatile and moulded to suit my students. Let's have some fun while we learn!
