i offer English lessons at a secondary education level, my approach as a tutor will be to build a good relationship with my students therefore, i know what their strengths and weaknesses are. this way we will be able to work together closely to develop a much stronger character.
My teaching method focuses on keeping topics simple and easy to understand, combining visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning to help students engage with grammar, which is commonly very difficult to understand as you get older. Therefore, my most successful methods focus on pattern recognition.
My teaching method varies to the needs of the individual, or class, including differentiated lessons, students' input, use of ICT and snippets of videos or films to support learning etc. My teaching fully follows the curriculum and examination boards' specifications.
My teaching method is to discuss the student's ability and what subject area they are finding difficult in advance of a lesson. I then source material to enable me to teach the student and boost their confidence and ability in the subject.
My approach is to understand your child's needs. I will create a plan for your child that builds on their areas for development. I aim to not only increase your child's skills, knowledge and understanding across the curriculum but also to boost their confidence. I look forward to hearing from you.
I have alot of experience working with people with disabilities as well as teaching children at primary school level. Due to studying English Literature currently at University, I am confident in my skills. I am patient, friendly and understanding.
My teaching methodology is allowing the child to show me what they know and understand and then taking each skill/lesson step by step, using examples and being active in my teaching so that the child is learning and participating rather than just listening to me the whole time which can be boring and not effective.
I like to understand what stage of learning my students are at. This helps me create a plan for them to follow. I believe practice make perfect. So my approach to teaching and learning in General is very practical.
I am an experienced primary school teacher. I can identify areas where your child needs support and encourage their learning in a fun and active lesson plan. My teaching style is a combination of humour and well marked out lessons where children progress in simple steps.
I give lessons to those studying at both GCSE and A-Level. I'm a friendly person and therefore like for lessons to be informal and relaxed, whereby I can tutor the student on a more personal level than may be found in a classroom.
i can be flexible and work with how the children want to learn and how they feel is the best way for them to learn and i can also help them feel more comfortable with what they are learning in school
My teaching methodology depends on my students mentality.
I focus on strengthening concepts and practicing exam questions.
My teaching method is to gove logic of things n to study by writing on books n wanna give a better concept of everything that ill teach
I achieved an A* at GCSE in both English Literature and English Language, placing second in my academic year. I absolutely adore reading and understand how difficult English can be for some students. I aim to provide a relaxed environment to enjoy English studies. I studied the AQA exam board. To help students achieve their best, lessons can be structured to suit the student.
Each lesson will be taught differently according to the student i am working with. I believe learning should be fun and interactive to help the student to feel relaxed and so has a enjoyable learning experience and really take a lot away from the session.
Through experience in the classroom and through my own studies I have found that enthusiasm is the key to academic success - I believe that encouraging a student to find passion in a subject is the best and most rewarding form of learning!
Have been working in a teaching environment since the age of 13 when I did work experience at a pre-school. While in New Zealand during an Early Childhood Education course, I worked again in a local Primary School. I grew up over in Derbyshire, attending small village schools where younger students were more like siblings. I have always been adept when working with people younger than myself.
In my opinion, the best way to gain marks in English GCSE is practice. I will focus on practice papers, writing under timed conditions, and annotating texts. I may set reading relevant to the syllabus being studied, or papers to do in you or your child’s own time for me to mark in our next session.
My teaching method is to make sure that the students are understanding and are gathering an opinion about a text rather than just reciting what is being taught to them about it. Once a student understands the devices and to what effect they are being used in a text for, the student begins to enjoy the work we are doing much more.
Each lesson I give will be based on the individuals needs and goals which we can discuss and create a tailored plan of action to help you fulfil your potential! I am able to give lessons for English Literature and Geography up to A-level
I am pursuing a Masters in English Literature at University of Sheffield. I structure the lessons according to the requirements of the student which are decided upon through discussion. I do my research before teaching anyone anything. My methodology of teaching is an interactive one. I like to interact with people and am open to criticisms, suggestions and compliments.
Pupil centred teaching, led by the needs of my students. I have a degree in Primary Education and I am qualified as a teacher as of June 2017. Happy to help teach anyone completing learning at Primary, Secondary and GCSE level.
I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge where I read English. Since graduating I have taught at university level and pursued a career as an academic, giving papers at conferences and recently being accepted for publication by Manchester University Press. I am a current postgraduate student at the University of Sheffield and am available for tutoring at all levels.
I believe it is vital to evaluate pupils skills and needs individually, and in doing so I am able to personally tailor lessons to suit individual needs. This flexible teaching method would ensure the best possible outcome for every student.
I believe teaching English isn’t about perfecting your grammar, nor perfecting your writing. It’s about bridging gaps and breaking barriers. “A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit”, in the words of Richard Bach. If you have the drive, passion and commitment you will succeed.
I have been tutoring medical students and students from related subjects for the last 5 years . I am passionate about medicine and I want to be in touch with the subject and explore more as well as help students who need extra help. I focus on making the lessons precise and simple so that it is easy for the students to understand.
With primary school students a focus is placed on understanding key concepts within literacy, such as nouns, rhyme, verbs and adjectives. With GCSE students I have previously focused on improving the tutee's skill to close read an extract and pick out stylistic qualities that create a text's meaning.
I teach using a variety of methods (discussion, projects, games, Q&A, etc.), the methods that I use depend on the student. All my sessions are tailored to the individual and group sessions are differentiated so that all students are supported. I teach up to A-level English.
I teach using visual and creative strategies to help images and methods stick in the mind.
