About Mairen
Now that you've made it this far, Hi! My name is Mairen, more commonly known as Ren! I am a junior in high school, and I plan to go into the field of medical science once I graduate from high school! I've been in band since the sixth grade (I play the flute, piccolo, and oboe), and I've also played volleyball since the sixth grade! I'm a huge nerd, I love to play games, I like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, horror movies (Scream is my favorite), anime (The Apothecary Diaries is amazing), and I'm also a huge music nerd! I love musicals, rock, metal, pop, you name it. Currently, my favorite band is Ghost! Thank you for considering me for your child or yourself! Have a great day!

I am experienced with students with additional needs (ADHD, autism, etc.). I help students, no matter their background or disability! I actively try to make learning fun for students, as they're already bored out of their minds at school! I like to get to know them and what they like versus what they dislike, and plan my lessons based on that! I specialize in elementary and middle school classes, but I will absolutely help high schoolers (preferably K-10!). What sets me apart from other tutors is that I understand that kids need breaks from schoolwork. In my sessions, I like to give brain breaks where we can color, talk about their day, or their interests! I need breaks sometimes, too, so I understand!
