I am a third year Mathematics student offering personalised lessons in multiple subjects.
Methodology
Tailoring each session to the individual is crucial to a successful session. I will start each session with a series of questions which will allow me to gauge my student's strengths and weaknesses. I will then use a combination of questions from a textbook and from past exam papers to analyse the student's approach to questions. If the student struggles, I will gently guide them to correct the answer themselves, rather than just providing the answer, to ensure the student understands the fundamentals. Whilst some material must be memorised, I don' t generally advocate 'rote-learning.'
Experience
I am a Maths student at the University of Birmingham. I have always enjoyed helping people get over issues they have been having academically. This led to me first tutoring when I was 16. Since then, I have tutored a wide range of age groups in various subjects.
