About Esmerelda
I am a third year Warwick student reading English Literature and French. I am currently preparing for my year abroad in Montpellier which I am very excited for! I have recently gone through the University application and exam process, so I know exactly what examiners are looking for and build lessons around exam technique, not just content. I am absolutely loving my degree, and really strive to encourage my students to take a real interest in their learning. My current interests at University level are 16th Century French Literature, and European Theatre. That said, I know how specific the humanities and language curriculum can be, and will fully commit myself to shaping my lessons around the individual students' exams.

I teach GCSE and A-Level English Literature and French, drawing on my joint honours degree and upcoming year abroad in Montpellier. Lessons run for an hour and focus heavily on exam technique, since I sat these exams myself recently and know what examiners are looking for. I tailor each session to the student: essay structure and close reading for English, speaking practice and grammar for French. I am patient, genuinely love teaching, and want to be the kind of tutor I was lucky enough to have at school. Lessons suit GCSE and A-Level students aged 11-18.
