About George
I am one year on from graduating from Oxford University with a degree in Classics. Over the past academic year I have seen my first 3 pupils from across a range of year groups get to grips with a range of subjects.
My main experience is in Latin and Greek: this can be for any level from beginner to degree. Last year I helped two of my pupils with their Latin for Common Entrance and Scholarship: both saw marked improvements. Elsewhere I provided round the board support for a student sitting his GCSEs.
My subjects are: Classics up to degree level; History up to A-level; French, Spanish, Maths, English, Chemistry, Biology up to GCSE.
I taught Latin part-time for a year at St Vincent de Paul School to a Year 6 class, and previously completed some work experience at the Maynard School in Exeter. In addition, my time spent volunteering as a leader for the charity ExVac gave me experience in supervising and interacting with children over a week-long residential trip.
I'd also love to help out with university applications, and have experience of the Oxford admissions process. I also love playing (and watching) football and cricket!
