How am I able to help my students succeed?
First, I try to gauge and understand where my student stands. What they know, to what they don't know they don't know. From there, I take pride in being able to use simple everyday analogies, depending on my students' own personal hobbies and life interests, to easily explain even the most complex subjects to them.
I always take the approach of "explaining as if to a five-year-old". If I can't, then I don't understand it well enough myself. It just so happens that I do! And I'm happy that I can help my students gain the same insight as well.
