About Eileen
I’m Eileen, a UChicago student with several years of tutoring experience in math, SAT prep, and academic support. I scored a 1560 on the SAT and improved my own score by around 200 points, so I understand both the content and the process of studying effectively.
I have worked with students at different levels, from building basic math foundations to preparing for tests and improving problem-solving speed. My goal is to make students feel comfortable asking questions, while also keeping lessons structured and productive. I am patient, reliable, and focused on helping each student make steady progress.

I’m Eileen, a UChicago student who tutors math by focusing on real understanding, not just memorizing formulas. In each lesson, I first figure out what the student is struggling with, then explain the concept step by step, work through examples together, and give targeted practice problems.
A typical lesson might include reviewing homework or test mistakes, rebuilding weak foundations, practicing new problems, and learning strategies for recognizing patterns on exams. I try to make math feel less intimidating by breaking problems into clear, manageable steps.
My lessons are best for middle school, high school, and early college students who need help with Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, SAT Math, or general math confidence. I have years of tutoring experience and know how to adapt to different learning styles.
