About Komila

I chose to become a tutor because I understand how overwhelming A-Levels and university applications can feel without the right guidance. When I was applying to university, I didn't have the opportunity or support for my personal statement or clear exam strategy. The difference that even small amounts of mentorship made to my confidence and performance was transformative, helping me secure all 5 offers from LSE, UCL, King's, Bath and Loughborough as well as improve my grade to an A in Biology.

That experience drives me to provide students with the support I once had to navigate alone. I believe high-quality guidance should not feel exclusive or inaccessible. Whether it's mastering difficult content, refining exam technique, or perfecting a personal statement, I am motivated to making the process clearer and more strategic.

Through my work running Noteroo, providing free GCSE and A-Level resources and reviewing personal statements through a non-profit organisation, I have seen how structured, personalised feedback unlocks students' potential and it's rewarding to see your student achieve it.

About the lesson

I am a UCL Psychology student who achieved A*A*A at A-Level, offering structured and results-focused tutoring in A-Level Psychology, Biology, History. I begin by identifying what students understand and where they struggle, whether it's content or exam-strategy, and tailor lessons accordingly. I simplify complex topics using clear explanations and examples of my flashcards to showcase how much of each topic is to be memorised. I also rigorously apply mark schemes to improve answers, where the mark scheme is used as the main technique to improve grades.

I also provide detailed personal statement mentoring (£15/h) and guidance on university applications, reviewing statements line-by-line with written feedback and live online feedback, including example comparisons. I have reviewed personal statements before with WIZE foundation (non-profit). My students have secured A/A* grades and offers from LSE, UCL, King's, Warwick and other Russell Group universities.
