About Antônio
As a recent IB graduate with 41 points, an A in my Extended Essay, and 7s in all of my Internal Assessments, I know exactly what it takes to succeed in the IB programme. I am now studying Theoretical Physics at University College London (UCL), where I continue to deepen my knowledge of mathematics and physics.
I have experience tutoring fellow IB students and understand that every student learns differently. My lessons are structured, patient, and tailored to each individual's needs, with a strong emphasis on developing genuine conceptual understanding rather than memorising procedures. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and independence as learners.

I recently completed the IB Diploma with 41 points, earned an A in my Extended Essay, achieved a 7 in all of my Internal Assessments, and am now studying Theoretical Physics at UCL. Having gone through the IB myself, I understand both the challenges students face and the strategies needed to achieve top grades.
My teaching focuses on building a strong conceptual understanding before moving on to exam-style practice. I believe that once students truly understand the underlying ideas, they become much more confident and can solve unfamiliar problems instead of relying on memorised methods.
Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes and are tailored to each student's goals, whether that's improving class performance, preparing for exams, or aiming for a 7.
I tutor IB Mathematics AA (SL/HL), Physics (SL/HL), Chemistry SL Extended Essay, and TOK in both English and Portuguese. I also tutor the same subjects for A Levels and Further Maths.

Recentemente concluí o Diploma do IB com 41 pontos, obtive nota A no meu Extended Essay, alcancei nota 7 em todas as minhas Internal Assessments (IAs) e atualmente estudo Física Teórica na UCL. Tendo passado pelo programa do IB, compreendo tanto os desafios que os alunos enfrentam quanto as estratégias necessárias para alcançar as melhores notas.
Minha metodologia de ensino é baseada na construção de uma compreensão conceitual sólida antes de partir para a prática com questões de prova. Acredito que, quando os alunos realmente entendem os conceitos, eles ganham confiança e conseguem resolver problemas inéditos em vez de depender apenas da memorização de métodos.
As aulas normalmente têm duração de 60 a 90 minutos e são adaptadas aos objetivos de cada aluno, seja melhorar o desempenho escolar, preparar-se para os exames ou alcançar a nota 7.
Dou aulas de Matemática AA do IB (SL e HL), Física (SL e HL), Química SL, Extended Essay e TOK, em inglês e português. Também ofereço aulas dessas disciplinas para A Levels e Further Mathematics.
