About Jacob
My name is Jacob VanDyk, I am a High School senior graduating from a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Magnet High School, and I intend to study Data Science and Economics at the University of Michigan next year.
I can teach introductory programming concepts in Java or Python, introducing a new way of thinking to my student's lives.

- Introductory Python, Java, and general programming concepts
- Through the use of problems tailored to the student's capabilities they will continue to practice even when not face to face. Some will be easier and others will be more challenging problems, with the more challenging ones designed to push the student to use their knowledge to solve a problem with their own intuition.
- Designed for beginners and people maybe a little interested in learning programming, regardless of age.
- I have 3 years of programming experience, primarily with Object-Oriented Programming. I have also built an app (Wildlife GO) that is published on the Google Play Store, which won the Congressional App Challenge 2023.
