About Desirae
Mathematics is the key to understanding the universe and unraveling its mysteries. I have fallen in love with the subject while studying it, and hope to share my excitement with other students. I am studying physics in order to understand the nature of the universe, and this topic is heavily based on mathematics. Because I want to better understand the way things work, I must understand mathematics; therefore, I care about accuracy and precision. I believe in understanding the underlying reasons behind concepts, otherwise one’s understanding is limited. My drive to learn mathematics has let to my success in math courses, usually achieving A grades.

I care about being precise and thoughtful when solving problems, and answering questions with detailed answers so that students will maximize their understanding of the topic at hand. I have taken math courses up to multivariable calculus and differential equations and have had much experience with math topics preceding these. I understand what it feels like to be confused, and I also understand the satisfaction of solving a problem correctly and understanding why it worked. I will present explanations gently and carefully so that students are not intimidated by challenging material; rather, excited to understand it!
