About Ava
I am entering my sophomore year at UConn as a biology major on the pre-med track. I currently have a 3.957 GPA and am in the Honors College. On top of the general chemistry and biology classes, I have taken Cell Biology, Human Genetics, Evolutionary Biology, and Calculus 1 and 2. This semester I am taking Organic Chemistry, Statistics, and Human Anatomy. Additionally, while in high school, I was a tutor my senior year for math, science, and English.

I make science and mathematics simple and clear. In my sessions I focus on the “why” behind each problem, so you can understand the concepts rather than try to memorize every single little detail. This will leave you feeling confident in your abilities and acing all of your exams. Also, it is of my highest priority to foster a supportive environment in my tutoring sessions, as mistakes are just part of the learning process. I take pride in education and believe it is of high importance to educate the youth, as they will be tomorrow’s thinkers. I give them the tools to understand, question, and explore, not just to prepare them for exams, but to prepare them for life.
