About Jack
I am a English Literature student with a passion for writing and reading. I have one to one tutoring experience from when I voluntarily tutored an AS student at my college whilst studying A2 myself. His grades went from a low C to a high B, primarily due to my focus and attention to teaching him essay writing skills and close analysis skills.

I am willing to tutor both GCSE and A level students. Having chosen English Literature at A level and as my degree I really know what is required to write a compelling and coherent essay and how to insightfully and closely analyse texts. My methods of teaching are very sequenced, reading and writing is a series of stages so each stage must be tackled individually and mastered to the point at which the student can confidently move on to the next stage. To me, the best results come from analysing a text together as a student and tutor, and marking and critiquing the students essays together so my feedback and comments are fully digested and understood.
