About Cherie
I have my master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I have been teaching at the university for 4 years and love helping students understand difficult concepts in Biology and Physical Science. The last 3 years I have developed classes online so I have a good idea of how to navigate different Learning Management Systems like Desire to Learn (D2L) and Canvas. Additionally I am active in a program to help transition students to college life. I look forward to helping you.

My teaching approach is to first understand where you are in your learning journey. I want to understand how far you have come on your own and how you have gotten there so I can meet you where you are and help you go farther. I like to use different programs that will help you develop and hone your skills even when we are not together so that you can practice a little through the week and make our sessions more meaningful.

Ms O is thorough and patient. She has a great understanding of the content so she can break down the information in smaller pieces for the student to better understand. She has tutored grade-school students and also teaches at the collegiate level. She is also very nice and an all around good person. I highly recommend her.
