About Wirad
Teaching is fundamental to a young person's life, especially so during their formative years in GCSE and A levels. Performance during these critical years will shape their future to come.
As a recently graduated student myself, I appreciate how influential a teacher can be over a student's attitude to learning; a good teacher can inspire any pupil to pursue even the most daunting subject. I am certain my love for Maths and the sciences would not exist without the great teaching role models I was fortunate enough to have.
I want to try and carry this fortune over to the next generation and inspire them to see the enjoyment to be had in Maths and Science, whether it be in trigonometric calculus or the respiratory system of a fish.
My tutoring experience started from teaching a boy in his GCSEs during the pandemic years. Limited interaction with teachers during that time made it hard for him to keep up with everything, however I did my best to guide him and by the end of his GCSEs, he went from being predicted 5s and 6s to achieving 7s and 8s in the exam hall. I am continuing to help him with A level maths.
