About Kimia
I am a first year university student currently studying Finance and Investment. I received an 8 in maths (which is equivalent to an A*) and further in A levels a B. I have tutored my own fellow classmates and friends before, and also various family members. I have also worked in a tutoring company also but I am choosing to now do my own private tutoring as I have gained lots of experience. I have really enjoyed maths since primary school and I would love to give a chance to other kids to enjoy maths too because I see it as quite an underrated subject. I used to dislike maths before Year 4 because I wasn’t good at it and didn’t really understand but once I got a tutor, I started to really understand things and found out that it is actually one of my favourite subjects which then soon helped me to understand the sciences better too, and now I’ve picked all “mathematical” subjects to study post-16, even my university course has a strong maths base.

My method of teaching is loads of practice. In my experience practice, practice, practice is the only thing to really help in maths. But also understanding the theories and understanding why each step happens to solve a specific problem. Reading through textbook pages and doing questions is extremely important. I know many always ask “But how do you revise for maths?”. Well that is the answer. Practice. I believe also having someone who has been through those type questions to give you an understanding of it is extremely important. I understand if parents believe that teachers know their subjects really well and they can explain really well too, and I know that older more experienced tutors are more liked by parents, however I believe having a much younger student who still remembers methods and easy tips and tricks who still has primary and secondary subjects fresh in their mind is a lot more helpful as I believe I can give simpler explanations and I know the courses much better than teachers who always give more complex explanations, whether that’s for SATs or GCSEs or any other year group.

Perfect! Extremely friendly and understanding. She has taught me for a while and the way she explains is absolutely amazing. Anyone would be able to understand and go along with her way of teaching. I would 100% recommend to anyone whoever is looking for a great and affordable tutor for maths and science to contact her for lessons. I had a great time being tutored by Kimia.
- I really enjoyed my lessons with you Izza. You are an extremely smart and hardworking student and I liked how you always asked questions when you didn’t understand the a question. Keep up the great work! It’s been a pleasure teaching you!Kimia's response :

Kimia has been an amazing tutor to my daughter. She has taught her maths and science unlike any other teacher she has had. She always tries to achieve the students understanding of a topic before she moves on. She always keeps repeating topics until the student has been tested and has shown complete understanding. My daughter says her lessons are extremely fun and not boring like normal school lessons. She is very straight to the point and gives me detailed feedback on lessons whenever I ask. She has never cancelled a lesson and is quite flexible with timing. She has a brilliant technique for teaching online which makes it completely easy, in fact easier than lessons in person! My daughter has seen a great improvement in her maths and sciences.
