I am a young, vibrant tutor with good and varied experience in teaching the sciences. I am a graduate in Physics with a Upper 2nd Class degree (2:1) having studied at Newcastle University - a high-ranking Russell Group university. I teach my subjects in a way to make them entertaining and meaningful. Lessons can either be face-to-face or online, but will always involve discussions and will be active. Science can be fun if it is looked at in the right way. I like to make lessons as informal as possible, while still getting the key ideas across.
Having recently completed a BSc degree in Physics at Newcastle University, I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge in learning styles and teaching practise. My experience in teaching and tutoring includes group tuition as part of the Physics Enrichment Week at my University, where GCSE students would come to further their knowledge in Physics. I also have experience in one-to-one tutoring for both GCSE and A-Level, where my previous students mentees were able to increase their grades from what was originally predicted.
I personally was able to achieve a total of 12 GCSEs, 6 of which were graded at A*. When completing my A-Levels, I achieved 3 As at A2 in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths; in addition to my A in Biology AS. To further my education, I decided to go to University to study Physics at a high-ranking Russell Group university; Newcastle University. Here I was able to obtain a 2:1 BSc degree in Physics.
I currently am a full time student studying Physics (MPhys) at Newcastle University. I have excellent computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel & Power Point on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 platforms, as well as iOS and macOS products.
