About Gustav
I am born and raised just outside of Stockholm, Sweden where I went to English schools since I was 13 years old - and always with a focus on maths. After high school I decided to move abroad to attend Business School, where I am currently in my 3rd year here in London. At university I have hosted both individual and class sessions to help students with maths and statistics, as it has been a persistent interest of mine.

I have a lot of previous experience in both group and individual teaching. My technique is to first discuss the subject with the student to understand where they are having the most difficulty. Then I go through that point with the student several times and come up with tasks on the specific area that is difficult, which you can work on with the student to create understanding. At the end of the lesson, I give the student tasks where they can put the concept we have been working on into a larger context - by solving broader problems. I believe that without context in these subjects it is difficult to learn specific concepts.
