About Emma
My teaching methodology for English is centered around five key principles: flexibility, collaboration, real-life examples, integrity, and creativity. I understand that each student has unique needs and learning styles, so I adapt my lessons to fit individual preferences, whether it’s through personalized activities or adjusting the pace of learning. To make learning relevant, I use real-life scenarios and case studies that help students see the practical applications of English in everyday life, such as writing resumes, communicating effectively, and analyzing literature. I believe in fostering a respectful and honest learning environment by encouraging open communication and feedback, allowing students to express their thoughts and concerns freely. Additionally, I incorporate creative techniques in my lessons, such as storytelling, role-playing, and multimedia projects, making learning fun and engaging while helping students think outside the box. Together, we will explore English and its related subjects in a way that inspires confidence and curiosity!

With seven years of dedicated tutoring experience, I have had the pleasure of helping around 250 high school and college students unlock their potential in English. I specialize in literacy, resume writing, and classic literature, tailoring my lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. Watching my students grow in confidence and skill is incredibly rewarding. One of my significant milestones was guiding a student to achieve a scholarship by helping them craft an outstanding resume and personal statement.
