About Nwabisa
Hi! I'm Nwabisa, a friendly, patient and supportive tutor from South Africa who enjoys helping others learn and build confidence.
I believe that struggling with a subject doesn't mean you aren't capable — sometimes you simply need someone who can explain it differently and give you the time to understand it at your own pace.
I'm naturally patient, encouraging and easy to communicate with. My professional background has given me strong communication, listening and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my lessons.
I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where learners aren't afraid to ask questions, make mistakes or say, “I don't understand.” We'll work through challenges together until things start making sense.
Most importantly, I want my learners to feel proud of their progress and become more confident in their own abilities.

My Maths lessons are designed to make learning feel simple, comfortable and less intimidating. I believe every learner can improve in Maths when concepts are explained patiently and in a way that makes sense to them.
I take a step-by-step approach, focusing on understanding rather than simply memorising answers. We will identify areas where you may be struggling, practise different examples together, and build your confidence as you progress.
Lessons can include homework support, revision, test and exam preparation, problem-solving and extra practice in areas that need improvement.
Every learner learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to your individual pace and needs. There is no pressure or embarrassment when you don't understand something — we simply try another way until it makes sense.
My goal is for you to finish each lesson feeling more confident than when you started and eventually be able to say, “I’ve got this!”

Details
Online lessons are available at R150 per hour, while face-to-face lessons are R170 per hour. For lessons at the learner's home, a small travel fee may apply depending on the distance. I also offer discounted rates for learners who book multiple lessons per week or lesson packages. The first lesson gives us an opportunity to identify the learner's strengths, areas that need improvement and learning goals so that future lessons can be tailored accordingly. My aim is to provide affordable, patient and personalised Maths support while helping each learner build confidence and improve at their own pace.
