About John
I graduated from University of Chicago ('17), B.A. in anthropology. I have been tutoring for the last 10 years in various different subjects. I also proofread, coach, and consult college applicants on Common App and supplement essays, as well as general educational essay tutoring. I am currently working toward a Master's in Education and my teaching license, and I currently work for the Dean's Office at St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago.

I have tutored 5th-12th grade, but I mostly focus on high school math, English (reading, writing, and English language), and history (world history, AP US History, AP Comparative Government, AP Macroeconomics). My anthropology background compels me to cater to each student individually, identify their areas of weakness and work constantly to improve in those areas, and teach them to recognize and constantly highlight their strengths.
