About Taehee
Hello! My name is Taehee, and I am a University of Toronto student specializing in Statistics with a minor in Mathematics. Having successfully navigated both the Canadian education system and the rigorous Korean mathematics curriculum, I bring a highly versatile and deeply logical foundation to my teaching.
I know that math can sometimes feel intimidating, but I am here to change that. I pride myself on being a patient, organized, and encouraging tutor who creates a safe space for students to ask questions and make mistakes. Because I am fully bilingual in English and Korean, I can seamlessly adapt my communication style to ensure complex concepts truly make sense to you.

Teaching Methodology & Techniques
My approach centers on building a strong, logical foundation rather than simply memorizing formulas. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to match individual needs. Because I am fully bilingual, I can seamlessly explain complex mathematical and statistical concepts in both English and Korean, depending on whichever language helps the student understand the material best.
Typical Lesson Plan
A standard session begins with a quick review of past material and any areas of confusion. We then move on to breaking down new concepts step-by-step. I guide students through a few example problems together, and then I have them tackle similar questions independently to ensure they have truly grasped the logic and mechanics behind the math.
What Sets Me Apart
What makes my tutoring unique is my comprehensive background in different educational systems. Although I have followed the Canadian curriculum since the 6th grade, I also rigorously studied the Korean mathematics curriculum up to high school calculus, and I successfully completed the AP Calculus BC exam. As a current university student specializing in Statistics with a minor in Mathematics, this deep, dual perspective allows me to offer multiple methods and shortcuts to approach a single problem.
