About Zack
My name is Zack and I’m a UWA graduate and postgraduate student currently undertaking a cancer therapy research project. I’m ambitious, with a burning desire to one day start my own biotech company — but I know that requires both financial stability and a deep command of biochemistry. Tutoring allows me to pursue both goals: earning money by helping others while reinforcing my own scientific foundations. Along the way, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about rote memorization to regurgitate on an exam. After placing in the top 2.3% of my state in 2020 and the top 15% of my undergraduate cohort in 2023, I’ve realized two truths: there’s no substitute for hard work, and every topic has a right — and more importantly, a wrong — way to learn it. My goal is to show students how to avoid those pitfalls and unlock the most effective ways of mastering science.

Molecular biology is full of detail, but success comes from seeing the bigger picture.
