About Joel
My own experiences as a student with Special Educational Needs has deepened my empathy and motivation to foster a positive and inclusive learning experience for all. I believe that the knowledge and skills I have acquired to date, coupled with my own personal experiences, make me the ideal tutor for you. I have a diagnosis of dyslexia, dyspraxia, and most recently ADHD, which made my school years incredibly challenging. Because of this, I feel a huge amount of empathy with any student that finds mainstream education difficult and have made it my mission in life to support them in their educational journey be that as a teacher or your tutor.

I am a qualified Drama and English Teacher with vast experience supporting children with a variety of special educational needs in both mainstream settings and alternative provisions. At the end of this academic year, I will be moving to a new role of Year 10 Teacher in the PSRP at JCoSS, a prestigious autism provision that offers a highly differentiated curriculum focusing on developing social cognition, through the SCERTS framework and the Social Thinking curriculum. I am happy to tailor the lessons to suit your learning needs as you may benefit from a shorter lesson.
