About Kammy
I am a loving mother and wife. I grew up in the Midwest around snow and family. After college, I began my teaching career in Texas. I've worked in public education as a general education teacher, dyslexia teacher, resource/inclusion teacher, and early childhood special education teacher. During my 20 years in education I've sought out additional training in dyslexia, autism, and working with students with emotional/behavioral needs.

For phonics/dyslexia it's an explicit, systematic, and multi-sensory approach to building phonological awareness. We work on writing and reading concepts. We will focus on a concept by segmenting, blending, using decodable, and applying our concept into our writing. We will work on dictation of the concept at word and sentence level.
