About Iwona
Between 2024 and 2025 I have been working full-time as an Art Teacher at Compass Community Schools in Memphis TN. Prior to moving to the United States, I taught Visual Art full-time at the First Private High School in Gdynia, Poland. While living in the U.S., I primarily worked in corporate and private business environments, while volunteering as an art instructor for St. Jude Hospital Cancer Patients at the McDonald House. I hold two degrees in Art Education as well as an MBA, and I am a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). Teaching art has always been my true passion, and my project management background has added both structure and efficiency to my teaching approach.

I enable students to discover their own creativity. This empowers them to think critically and excel academically and beyond. Art enhances self-awareness, builds confidence, and activates the right hemisphere of the brain—unlocking intuition, innovation, spatial perception, and out-of-the-box problem-solving. It also supports social development through meaningful self-expression and fosters an understanding of art as a reflection of our past and present lives. Art activates right-brain thinking, which not only nurtures musicians and artists but also helps develop great mathematicians, scientists, and engineers. Studying art contributes to a student’s cultural awareness, environmental understanding, and ability to imagine and create a better world. My art classes are fun while students learn beyond and above their expectations.
