About Helen
I have two degrees in History from accredited universities (Northern Arizona University and the University of Delaware), and have designed and taught my own courses in US History. As an instructor, I have taught five courses individually and tutored countless children and young adults.

I focus on helping students understand the basics and then move forward into greater in-depth knowledge. When teaching History and English, I always focus on the WHY. Why is this important? Why do we need to know it? Why does this impact our daily lives?
Once students have mastered that question, I find that they are able to begin to engage with more in-depth questions that help drive them towards success in their education.
