About Sem

I am Sem, a native English speaker from London with a lifelong passion for language and communication. I have lived and worked internationally my whole life, across the UK, France, East Asia, Europe and beyond, which means I am genuinely accustomed to different understandings and perceptions of the English language. I know that communication is not one size fits all and I meet every student exactly where they are.
Language and communication are things I care about deeply. The ability to express yourself, whether in writing or out loud, has the power to change how the world receives you. I have seen it time and again across the many environments I have worked in, and that is exactly why I am so passionate about what I do.
I tutor because I love watching people grow. There is nothing quite like seeing someone find their confidence, nail a piece of writing, or finally feel at ease expressing themselves. That moment makes everything worthwhile.
I work with students of all levels and all backgrounds. My sessions are warm, relaxed, and built entirely around you. I listen, I adapt, and I make sure every lesson feels relevant to your life and your goals.
Language changed my world. I would love to help it change yours.

I believe English should feel exciting, not intimidating. My lessons are built around you - your goals, your pace, and your learning style. Whether you are working towards a qualification, developing your creative voice, or simply wanting to express yourself with more confidence, every session is tailored to what you actually need.
We can work on oral expression, creative writing, essay writing, functional skills, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and more. No two students are the same, so no two lessons look the same either.
Forget boring drills and one size fits all worksheets. My approach is engaging, personal, and genuinely fun. I want you to leave every session feeling more capable and more inspired than when you arrived.
All levels are welcome. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine skills you already have, there is always somewhere to go and always a way to get there together.
Booking a first session is simple. We start with a relaxed conversation about where you are and where you want to be, and we go from there. No pressure, no jargon, just a real commitment to helping you find your voice and use it well.
If you are ready to take your English to the next level, get in touch today. I would love to hear from you.
