I am a writer from Belfast who likes to tutor lessons in English literature, with an interest in Shakespearean drama, Greek tragedy, and poetry, from GCSE to A Level and beyond.
I have developed analytical methods to approaching a piece of work and deconstructing its technical composition to gain a vantage point for interpretation, analysis, and engagement with the text. These techniques are transferable across genre and useful in everyday life, too. I believe a critical approach to information is essential for academic and personal development.
I also have an interest in mentoring creative writing, stemming from my own experience in writing for publication.
I have been giving lessons since my undergraduate student days in 2008. Over the years I have helped my peers in their studies, as well as younger students studying for GCSE, AS, and A level exams, as well as students seeking tutelage to help with exam re-sits.
My students have all gained high grades and all have went on to study at University level. I particularly enjoyed tutoring some students at a local college for re-sits, honing their skills and developing their writing craft to see them through their examinations.
Usually my hourly lessons run longer than an hour; you will still only be charged for one hour. I believe in good education and this is important to me.
For students in inner city Belfast, the hourly rate will be reduced, as I won't have travel expenses. These rates are 20/hour.

I am a published writer who enjoys teaching creative writing, literature, and classics, with special interests in poetry and ancient Greek tragedy. I have been tutoring privately since 2008. I also worked voluntarily as peer-leader in a local youth group, in which I trained to deliver personal development workshops.
Suzanne was a Good tutor, really helped with understanding the text and learning to construct an argument in an essay amongst all other things. I would highly recommend her
