About Shannon
I am a recent graduate from the Yale School of Public Health (MPH) and also hold a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University. I have always had a passion for science and have excelled in science courses. As an student, I took courses in cell and molecular biology, genetics, chemistry (general, organic, and bio), physics, and epidemiology. As a graduate student, I worked as a teaching assistant for two undergraduate courses, "Molecular Hallmarks of Cancer Biology" and "Laboratory for Reproductive and Developmental Biology" which helped me to develop my teaching and tutoring abilities.

I strive to ensure that lessons are fun, engaging, and informative by employing a number of techniques such as timed recall and having the student "teach" the topic to me. I recognize that learning and tutoring are collaborative endeavors and am always happy to readjust my lesson plan and/or teaching methods to ensure the most productive session for a student.
