Hi, I'm Chandana — a Data Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on industry experience at Cigna Healthcare, Morgan Stanley, and Optum, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma (2025).
I have spent years building real production-grade data pipelines, writing Python and SQL that processes tens of millions of records daily, and working inside Agile engineering teams at Fortune 500 companies. I know exactly what employers are looking for — and I teach you precisely those skills.
My approach is patient, structured, and always practical. I do not believe in teaching abstract theory in isolation. Teaching Method & Techniques
I teach through real-world problem-solving, not textbook theory. Every session is built around hands-on code — we write actual Python scripts, build real SQL queries, and work through genuine data pipeline challenges together. I use the explain → demonstrate → practice → review cycle: I explain the concept briefly, show it working live in a notebook or IDE, then guide you through building it yourself while I provide immediate feedback. I adapt my pace entirely to you — if something clicks fast, we accelerate; if something needs more depth, we slow down and approach it from a different angle.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A standard 60-minute session runs as follows: 10 minutes reviewing the previous session and answering any lingering questions; 20 minutes of concept introduction with live coding demonstration; 20 minutes of guided hands-on practice where you write and I coach; 10 minutes of review, common mistakes, and a mini-challenge to complete before the next session. Every session ends with clear next steps and resources.
