About Isaiah
Do you struggle to visualize how electrons move during SN1 and SN2 reactions? I prioritize clear, visual communication to ensure these concepts stick.
We focus heavily on past-paper mechanism walkthroughs during our time together. This approach mimics the high-pressure environment of the MCAT. I synthesize my Johns Hopkins medical training to simplify alcohols, ethers, and radical reactions for my students.
The goal is to move from memorization to genuine understanding of aromatic chemistry. My sessions are designed for those who value structure over rote learning. I find that connecting these mechanisms to medical science makes the process much more engaging for me as well.

Mechanism drawing and retrosynthesis are the core components of my chemistry practice. To be honest, organic chemistry felt like a foreign language before I organized it into distinct logical patterns.
I teach college chemistry majors, biochemistry students, and exam candidates how to dismantle complex problems. During my 5 years of experience, I have supported many students through these difficult hurdles. My current role as a 4th year medical student at Johns Hopkins provides me with a deep technical perspective.
I know exactly which topics the AAMC tests hardest. Building fluency in isomerism, stereochemistry, and elimination reactions is my specialty. These skills define my instructional method. I enjoy helping people see the beauty in these rigorous chemical systems.
