About Yeligay
I am an experienced mathematics tutor with 5 years of teaching experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the top university in Central Asia and the Caucasus. I will make sure to make math easier to understand and teach in both English and Russian. I have guided students of different ages and levels — from kids and school learners to university students — to understand even the most challenging topics with clarity and confidence.

My Teaching Approach I believe that mathematics becomes accessible when it is explained clearly, in an easy way and practiced in a supportive environment. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students solve problems, but to understand the reasoning behind each step, develop confidence, and learn how to think mathematically. Teaching Methods and Techniques: 1) I first explain the core idea in a simple and intuitive way, then show how it applies to real problems. 2) I use graphs, analogies, and step-by-step breakdowns to make abstract ideas concrete. 3) We review mistakes together—not as failures, but as the most valuable learning tool. 4) Instead of only listening, students solve problems during the lesson to reinforce understanding. A Typical Lesson Plan: Check-in: Short review of the previous lesson or homework. Concept Explanation: Clear step-by-step explanation of the new topic. Guided Practice: Solving several examples together, gradually increasing complexity. Independent Practice: Student tries problems while I guide only when needed. Reflection: Identify what was learned, what became clearer, and where we continue next time.
