About Isaac
Outside of teaching, I'm constantly exploring ways to make complex ideas feel intuitive. I'm both a visual artist and musician, and I enjoy applying the same creativity I use in art and music to mathematics and physics. I'm also an amateur astronomer who loves sharing the night sky and the sense of wonder that comes with scientific discovery.
Much of my free time is spent developing new visual models, thought experiments, and explanations that help students see beyond formulas and recognize the deeper ideas connecting STEM. I believe intuition is one of the most valuable learning tools we can develop. When students understand why something works, they become more confident, more curious, and far more independent learners.
Teaching isn't just my profession—it's something I genuinely enjoy. Whether I'm creating new lessons, tutoring one-on-one, or making educational videos, my goal is always the same: help students replace confusion with clarity, discover that mathematics is as much a human art as it is a human logic, and realize they can engage with it on a deeply creative and personal level. I also strive to connect mathematical ideas to each student's hobbies, field of study, and passions so learning becomes more meaningful, memorable, and enjoyable.

Every student learns differently, so my first goal is to understand where you are—not just what chapter you're on. During our first lesson, I'll identify which ideas make sense to you, where the gaps are, and how you learn best. From there, we build a personalized plan focused on understanding rather than memorization.
One of the biggest discoveries students make is that mathematics and physics are not endless collections of unrelated formulas. Much of STEM is built from a surprisingly small number of powerful ideas that reappear in different forms, hidden beneath new notation, jargon, and applications. I help students recognize those recurring patterns, so they spend less time memorizing and more time understanding. Instead of seeing every chapter as a completely new subject, students begin to see the same ideas wearing different clothes. Even technical jargon becomes less intimidating when you realize it's often just a precise way of communicating familiar ideas.
Lessons are interactive, visual, and discussion-driven. We work through problems together, draw diagrams, ask questions, and connect new concepts to ideas you already understand. My goal is not simply to help you complete homework or earn better grades. My goal is to help you build a mental framework that makes future topics feel more familiar instead of more overwhelming. Better grades naturally follow as understanding deepens. When students truly understand the underlying ideas, they rely less on memorization, experience less anxiety, solve unfamiliar problems more confidently and efficiently, enjoy learning more, and gain the independence to tackle increasingly challenging material.
I tutor students from middle school through college in mathematics, physics, and many engineering subjects. Whether you're preparing for an exam, catching up in class, or exploring STEM out of curiosity, my goal is to help you leave each lesson with greater confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding that continues to pay dividends long after the course has ended.

I met Isaac during my first semester at community college. I was taking physics I which focused on mechanics. He held a weekly study group for all physics students where anybody could attend and go over material and better understand the class! He was an awesome instructor during these times, but I really got to know Isaac when he personally tutored me 1-on-1 for physics II which was electromagnetism. Isaac’s teaching style is incredible for anybody who’s willing to learn and be curious. He does not focus on route memorization, but rather visualization and understanding first. This is why Isaac is amazing! He wants all his students to truly understand the amazing concepts being taught to us. I recommend Isaac because he is an amazing instructor, he’s very kind, and wants everyone to succeed!
