About Sharon
"You probably struggle with physics because it is often taught as a series of disconnected rules rather than a unified framework. I teach because I enjoy translating my 13 years of experience as a quant into accessible lessons for intermediate learners and board exam students.
My PhD from Stanford University enables me to simplify complex concepts in electricity, magnetism, and waves. Having mentored students throughout my 12 years of experience, I know how to break down graph interpretation and numerical problem solving. You might be surprised to learn that my professional life as a FAANG data scientist informs how I teach kinematics.
I appreciate the beauty of a well-posed physics problem. I find it rewarding to watch a student finally connect the math to the physical reality."

"Numerical problem solving is 90% conceptual and 10% calculation. I provide free access to my personal derivation and formula notes to help you see the logic behind the physics.
We will spend our time focusing on conceptual learning rather than rote memorization of equations. Oscillations and waves become much clearer once you understand the underlying differential equations.
I bring my years of experience to help you navigate homework help and exam strategies. You will learn how to approach a problem by sketching the system before you ever touch a calculator. I enjoy seeing students develop a systematic way of thinking about physics.
It makes the subject much less intimidating during high-stakes exams. Please bring any specific questions you have about your current curriculum."
