About Michael

Hi there!

I'm Michael - a final-year Bsc student at the University of Bristol with a strong focus on using data analysis to help answer the unpredictable questions in the field of Biology. My academic journey has taken me through Medicine and Neuroscience, and while I ultimately chose Biology, I remain enthusiastic about disease transmission and mental health. This unique pathway means that I integrate both backed-by science revision strategies and well-being to my tutoring style.

I completed A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Spanish, alongside strong GCSE results across core subjects. I tutor Biology and Chemistry across secondary levels, including GCSE/IGCSE levels. With all of this in mind, each of my sessions are individually tailored depending on the student's need and unique learning style. This makes the sessions enjoyable, whilst also helps you develop confidence and spark your interest in the growing field of science.

I look forward to meeting you!

About the lesson

Whether your goal is to smash the exams, improve your predicted grades, boost confidence or find your passion, I always ensure that each session meets your exam board syllabus (AQA, OCR, Edexcel and Eduqas), learning style and current understanding level.

Here's how my typical session proceeds:
We begin by understanding the content using clear examples and real-life scenarios
Next, we have a go at attempting actual exam questions
Finally, we go through the exam marking criteria, so you can understand the mistakes and learn how to achieve the top marks
