About Jeffrey
I am a 4th year medical student at the University of Cambridge and have an intercalation in biochemistry. My focus is on Biology but I do have experience in chemistry as well, taking all science and maths to A-level. I chose to study medicine because of my love for the sciences and desire to work within a strong community which has been one of my driving factors for wanting to tutor and spread my passion. Hopefully my experience in both the sciences and university application process will aid pupils in achieving their goals, making them interested in their learning and encouraging them to explore their subjects more deeply.

My lesson styles are like supervisions, a dialogue between myself and pupils using questions and answers to teach. I have found that this helps students understand basic biological principles which then help explain more complex topics. Alongside this I use visual aids to provide a foundation for what is being covered and ground the discussion with something to refer back to.
I understand for some students their understanding may be good but a focus on exam technique is required. Therefore, usually we will apply the ideas we have been discussing though some past paper questions, learning how to use mark-schemes in an advantageous way and giving students an opportunity to show their knowledge. Furthermore, lessons are flexible and it is possible to review more challenging material that has been recently covered at school or alternatively to provide material to pushes students further than what has been covered in the classroom.
Ultimately I wish to help you achieve your goals in both learning and academia while also spreading a passion for learning and knowledge to students.
