I teach in a step by step method. Firstly I find out what my student knows and then I go back to the base level of their understanding and the topic. I work my way up from there with a structure and an example. I will then work through some more examples with them and when they feel confident enough, get them to practise on their own. Depending on the topic, I feel as though diagrams help a lot aswell.
