About Andrew
I have a Bachelor of International Studies with a minor in politics from the University of Adelaide. I spent 18 years in the Middle East and South East Asia and am experienced in communicating with people from culturally diverse and non english speaking backgrounds. My areas of interest include modern history, political philosophy and middle eastern geopolitics.

My educational background and areas of interest are most suited to assisting high school or tertiary level students. However, I enjoy teaching and mentoring learners of all ages and in all stages of education.
I believe that sound pedagogy begins with patience, empathy and communication. The key to success lies in being student focused. This means listening to students thoughts, ideas and aspirations. From these the foundation of a specific focus of study can be tailored.
A fun, patient and relaxed learning approach is key to helping students reach their potential. Positive reinforcement and tangible benchmarks give students pride and a drive to reach their goals.
My intent is not only to help students with a specific exam, paper or area of difficulty. My desire is to utilise and impart reading, writing, and critical thinking skills that will help make all of these easier now and in to the future.
