About Brittany

I am a published poet and professional dancer with a BA in English and a BFA in Dance. I am a creative, compassionate, and professional instructor well versed in the intricacies of the English language and literature, and fostering creativity and curiosity.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I enter the rooms as an active listener with an open mind and heart first; while I have wealth of knowledge that I am eager to share, I believe that information is best shared when it is a two way street, when everyone in the room is heard, theirs needs and perspectives respected. I believe that creating a learning environment in which everyone is capable of excelling requires deep compassion. I believe that progress requires risk taking and failure, it requires vulnerability; As a teacher, I aim to create trust between myself and my students in hopes of giving them the space to be brave, to take risks and to grow.
